Locality Health Centre
There is a range of services on offer at the Locality Health Centre including GP surgeries and nurse-led clinics. Staff will talk with patient to ensure that they are seen by the most appropriate health professional.
Appointments
Pre-bookable routine appointments are available with doctors, treatment room nurses and health care assistants, as well as same day appointments for urgent needs.
Phone Consultations
Patients who would like to speak to a doctor or nurse by phone should call with a contact number. A clinician will usually call back at the end of the clinic session.
Home Visits
Patients too ill to visit the surgery can request a home visit and should phone the surgery to have their needs assessed as early as possible.

Opening Hours
Normal opening hours are:
8.00 am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
(Closed Monday Lunchtime 12.30 - 2.00 for staff training)
Extended hours are:
6.30 pm to 8.00 pm, Mondays,
9.00 am to 11.00 pm on the second Saturday of each month.
Appointments for extended opening hours need to be pre-booked.
Making an Appointment
Appointments can be made in person at reception or by calling 0345 350 3973. Please inform staff in plenty of time if an appointment is no longer needed, as this helps ensure the best service for all patients.
Out of Hours Service
An out-of-hours medical service is available by calling:
0845 - 121 - 0235.
How to Register
The Locality Health Centre is available to anyone living in South Ward and the surrounding area. To register, residents need to come along to the centre in person and bring with them:
- One form of photographic identification e.g. passport, driving licence and
- two documents to prove address e.g. a recent bill or rent book.
People or visitors from overseas should contact the practice for further information.
